Sasuke being stabbed makes me questionning about whether it is part of the plan or not but he was shocked when he didn’t even know what happened to him, when he was levitating in the air due to Deva path’s powers. Hashirama’s plan most likely has something with the Sasuke-Izuna resemblance a genjutsu maybe that will involve a lecture where Sasuke talks just like Izuna to Madara and make him abandon his ways, that’s plausible but Madara won’t fall for such a trick and now that he has one eye he may notice that Sasuke resembles Izuna and he’ll say.
